The 2010 population was the highest recorded for the borough in any decennial census.

Pine Beach was incorporated as a borough by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on February 26, 1925, from portions of Berkeley Township.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough had a total area of 0.618 square miles (1.600 km2), including 0.614 square miles (1.590 km2) of land and 0.004 square miles (0.010 km2) of water (0.63%).
